Over the past three years, the SAA and its Task Forces have become the backbone of global coordination for adaptation, supporting implementation under the Global Goal on Adaptation (GGA) and driving the integration of resilience into the COP Action Agendas.
At COP30, adaptation stands at the center of climate action. The Presidency’s Action Agenda embeds the SAA within six thematic axes, turning them into measurable, investable, and implementable priorities. This moment—the “COP for Adaptation Implementation”—aims to transform commitments into delivery, linking national adaptation plans, finance, and partnerships at scale.
The Sharm Adaptation Agenda Convening at COP30 provides a space for dialogue among key implementing organizations to reflect on progress, share insights, and strengthen collaboration ahead of the next phase of the five-year workplan for adaptation and resilience.
