The Hub through the years
In 2020, the Resilience Hub was born out of a simple question: Why is progress on climate adaptation so far behind that of climate mitigation? In large part, it’s because leaders weren’t measuring or talking about it as clearly as they were mitigation.
So, the Atlantic Council’s Climate Resilience Center and the Global Resilience Partnership founded the Hub with the support of former partner Resilience Shift.
Since then, the Hub has been the home for resilience at major climate summits. It amplifies the voices and stories of resilience that were historically spread across different initiatives and events inside and outside the COP. Now, with a clear home and mission, the Resilience Hub has changed the way we talk about—and act on—climate resilience.
The Resilience Hub Timeline
The Resilience Hub represents a global community of interest driven by the urgency to act, with over 70 private and public organisations involved in developing the programme, and a Steering Committee that includes Directors from the COP Presidency, FCDO, UNFCCC and the High-Level Champions Team.

In 2021, the Resilience Hub officially launched at COP26 in Glasgow, Scotland. It became the official home of the UN-backed Race to Resilience campaign, convening stakeholders to drive action.
