Peru will launch its Country Package, an implementation plan that allows us to attract new climate funding and channel them toward the conservation of Amazon forests, the sustainable development of our communities, and the fulfilment of our climate goals.
Peru’s Country Package is the result of a joint effort between the Ministry of the Environment, six Amazonian regional governments, and indigenous organizations, with the support of the Ministry of Culture and international cooperation.
Peru’s Country Package is designed to contribute to the implementation of our NDC measures in the Land Use, Land-Use Change and Forestry sector, and—by working with our subnational governments—it will also contribute to the implementation of their Regional Climate Change Strategies.
