Ahead of the inaugural High-Level Dialogue on Loss and Damage, set to take place in April next year, this event will provide a unique opportunity for a conceptual and practical conversation between key experts on loss and damage and humanitarian action.
The collective aim of the annual High-Level Dialogue, co-convened by the Board of the FRLD and the UN Secretary General’s Climate Action Team, in convoking the wider funding arrangements will be to ensure complementarity and coherence between mechanisms. A key outcome will be recommendations on scaling up or enhancing existing, as well as initiating new, funding arrangements for responding to loss and damage from climate change.
Panelists’ insights will focus on the emerging loss and damage funding architecture and consider topics on complementarity and coherence of the funding arrangements.
