Assessing, tracking and responding to non-economic losses
17 November @ 2:15 pm – 3:00 pm EEST
As climate change intensifies, non-economic losses such as impacts on lives, wellbeing, culture, heritage, traditions, biodiversity, and ecosystems are becoming increasingly significant. Yet their intangible nature makes them difficult to assess, track, and address. This COP31 event will explore the latest advances in understanding and responding to NELs, including emerging tools and approaches that support countries in assessing and monitoring these losses. Through a fireside chat format, participants will reflect on global progress, challenges, and community experiences, while highlighting new capacity-building, finance opportunities, and the launch of an issue brief series with key recommendations.
