Connecting the Dots: Overcoming Short-Sighted Fossil Fuel Policies and Strengthening NDCs and NAPs through Frontline and Intergenerational Collaboration

19 November 2025 @ 2:00 pm 3:00 pm Brazil

The mismatch between short political cycles and long-term climate impact response has allowed for the expansion of fossil fuels and weak responses to the climate crisis. By being properly advised by experts and collaborating with frontline communities, ambitious climate policies can outlast political mandates and effectively respond to the demands and needs of peoples. This interactive dialogue will highlight the power of engaging diverse stakeholders in designing and implementing NDCs, NAPs, and other policies grounded in lived realities and climate justice that keep long-term ambition alive beyond short political terms.
