Exploring inclusive climate governance through the Global Ethical Balance

19 November @ 12:30 pm 1:30 pm Brazil

This session examines how the Global Ethical Balance (GEB), proposed by the COP30 Presidency, can serve as a framework to rethink and strengthen more inclusive climate governance. Building on lessons from the Territorial Dialogues facilitated by Fundación Argentina 1.5 and Fundación Avina between August and October 2025, as well as experiences from various regional institutions, the discussion will explore how local knowledge can be connected to global processes—and how ethical reflection and local participation can contribute to more legitimate and equitable decision-making. The conversation aims to move from principle to practice, offering insights for negotiators, communities, and funders committed to participatory and just climate governance.
