We live in an age of turbulence, where compounding crises are the new normal. Given this increased volatility, resilience has become a central consideration across practice, policy, and business. Yet, there is a lack of clear, science-based, guidance on what building the resilience of communities, businesses and sectors actually means.
The Resilience Science Must-Knows—a landmark global initiative at the interface between science, policy and practice developed by Stockholm Resilience Centre, the Global Resilience Partnership and Future Earth—distils decades of cutting-edge research into nine actionable insights every decision-maker should know to navigate risk, and drive adaptation and transformation.
This high-level session marks the official launch of the report from this important initiative. Participants will gain a first look at its core messages, based on decades of resilience science, and informed by practice.
