Scaling coastal resilience: from ambition to investment and implementation
17 November @ 4:45 pm – 6:00 pm EEST
This session will explore how coastal and marine ecosystems can be recognised, financed, and implemented as natural infrastructure for climate adaptation and resilience. Drawing on practical examples from across the Asia-Pacific region and complementary global initiatives, the discussion will highlight innovative approaches that connect science, policy, finance, and community-led action. Speakers will examine opportunities to mobilise investment, overcome implementation barriers, and scale nature-based solutions that reduce climate risks while supporting biodiversity, livelihoods, and coastal communities. The session will identify pathways to translate coastal resilience commitments into concrete action and investment at scale.
