Resilience Hub at COP30
Deadline to submit: 15 September 2025
Location: COP30, 10–21 November 2025 | Blue Zone, Belém, Brazil
When is the EOI submission deadline?
The Resilience Hub offers an eight-week application period. Submissions are accepted through 15 September 2025 and will be reviewed on a rolling basis.
What are the six challenge areas?
How long should the event last?
The Resilience Hub typically offers one-hour sessions. However, we will consider event proposals for up to two hours if there is a strong rationale for the extended session.
What makes a competitive application?
All events should have a clear plan to translate dialogue into action. Competitive applications will explain the resilience challenge being addressed, how the event can encourage audience engagement, and how it can translate this session into long-lasting, real-world action. The Resilience Hub encourages non-traditional event formats, with a clear suggestion to think outside of a traditional panel format since the Hub will accept a maximum of ten panel-style events. We encourage applicants to explore more interactive and innovative approaches with support from our Format Guidance Document.
Why is there a limit on the number of panel sessions?
The Resilience Hub will accept a maximum of ten panel-style events. In other words, only ten finalists will have a panel format. This limit is designed to encourage innovative approaches to structure and audience engagement. The Resilience Hub aims to move beyond passive listening toward collaborative problem-solving, peer learning, and experimentation. Alternative suggested event formats can be found in our Format Guidance Document.
Why are events required to have co-organising partners?
The Resilience Hub’s COP30 programme is designed around inclusive discussions that elevate diverse voices. So, applicants are required to work with partners to design robust, cross-cutting sessions. Sessions should be created and led by up to 3–4 organisations (maximum) in order to allow for diversity and varying perspectives. Please provide relevant contact information for all organisations in order to move forward in the process.
What is the time commitment for selected applicants?
The Resilience Hub will host mandatory preparatory calls. Selected applicants must be available for a minimum four hours of preparatory calls between 15 September and 31 October. Selected applicants must also provide flexible availability between 1 November and 21 November to finalise event preparation. All relevant organising staff for both organisations must be available and accessible for the duration of their event as well as 30-minutes before to coordinate with the delivery of their session.
Will the Resilience Hub provide funding for the event?
There is no stipend for event management. However, the Resilience Hub will provide an event space, audio-visual (AV) services with onsite technicians, a dedicated onsite event management team, and promotional support for all selected applicants. The Resilience Hub can not support in any financial capacity or secure blue zone passes for attendance at COP30.
Will the Resilience Hub provide Blue Zone access?
The Resilience Hub is unable to provide Blue Zone passes for session organisers or speakers. To ensure inclusivity, the Hub has offered hybrid participation since its founding, and can coordinate with applicants to support virtual speakers as needed. More information for COP participants can be found on the official UNFCCC website.
How will I know if my application is selected and what are the next steps?
The Resilience Hub team will shortlist submissions and invite them to a deep dive webinar into the Resilience Must-Knows along with more guidance on working with the Resilience Hub and what your role as a session co-host will entail. You will be notified within 14 days of the submission deadline. All those shortlisted MUST attend this webinar. You will be given one chance to retract your application if you feel you are no longer able to commit to the work required.
Note if you do not get shortlisted, you will also be contacted by the team directly after the deadline and shortlist is confirmed.
Who should I contact if I have a question or need help with my submission?
